Introduction
ipmideck is free, open-source software developed and maintained by the ipmideck project and its maintainers. These terms govern your use of the software and this website. There is no company, contract of sale, or paid service behind ipmideck. It is a community project offered to the homelab and self-hosting community.
License & acceptable use
ipmideck is distributed under its open-source license as published in the project repository; that license governs your rights to use, copy, modify, and redistribute the software. You are responsible for using ipmideck lawfully and only on hardware you own or are authorized to manage. ipmideck talks directly to your servers' baseboard management controllers and can change fan speeds and power state, so you must understand what it does before pointing it at production hardware.
Disclaimer of warranties
ipmideck is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The ipmideck project and its maintainers do not warrant that the software is free of defects, that it will run uninterrupted, or that it is correct or safe for any particular server, BMC, or environment. You use it entirely at your own risk.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the ipmideck project and its maintainers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages (including, without limitation, hardware damage, overheating, thermal or power events, data loss, service interruption, or downtime) arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, ipmideck, even if advised of the possibility of such damage. Because ipmideck controls cooling and power, you are solely responsible for configuring safe fan curves and thermal limits and for monitoring your own hardware.
Governing law
These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of ipmideck shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of Italy.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above and published in the project repository. Your continued use of ipmideck after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
